Mandi Hulme Receives the Barnes-Brzozowski Emerging Student Affairs Scholarship
Congratulations to Mandi Hulme, a College Student Personnel student! Mandi holds an assistantship in the Office of Student Activities working with the leadership programs. She is an exceptional student in the classroom and also a great professional in her assistantships. Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, she attended Emporia State University for her undergraduate degree. The selection committee shared this about Mandi: "It was apparent through her application that she has a high level of self-awareness, intentionality in her assistantship, and most importantly her professional goal to make an impact on students’ lives much like her mentors did for her." This is truly what this profession is all about. Mandi also has many connections to the Greek community and has worked professionally as Leadership Consultant for Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
The Barnes-Brzozowski Emerging Student Affairs Professional Scholarship was recently established by Alana Barnes MS '07 and Jeremy Brzozowski MS '07. Each year, this scholarship will be awarded to one first year student in the CSP program. The scholarship will be given to students who demonstrate exceptional skills and leadership in their contributions to both the CSP cohort/academic experience and their student affairs practice as they have made their transition into graduate studies.
