Undergraduate Admissions
Reach Program
WIU's Reach Program connects students with mandatory additional help to stay on track towards college graduation. It is an excellent option for students to receive support and guidance.
Admission Overview
For Fall 2025, students with 2.75 - 2.99 on a 4.0 GPA scale will be automatically admitted to the Reach Program through the application deadline of July 1.
Students below a 2.75 on a 4.0 GPA scale will be reviewed for admission consideration for the Reach Program. The priority deadline is February 1 to send transcripts and complete the admissions application file. A limited number of seats are available for students below a 2.75 GPA. Students will be in a pending admissions status until reviewed for an admissions decision in mid-February. Students who complete their application file after the priority deadline will be considered if space is available. However, it is anticipated that there will be very limited space available after March 1.
Reach admission decisions are based on overall GPA and grades in the core academic courses of math and English. Select students may be asked to submit a personal statement to explain their individual situation.
Students in the Reach Program must attend in-person on the Macomb campus.
