Chambers: July EOM

MACOMB, IL -- Amy Chambers, a benefits counselor in human resources at Western Illinois University, has been named the WIU July Civil Service Employee of the Month.
According to her nominators, "Amy is the same efficient, personable individual to everyone who enters her office. She demonstrates professionalism at its best."
"She is a strong and compassionate adversary for the employees of WIU. She is willing to research the best options and the most reasonable options for the circumstance in which an employee is facing," her nominator added. "The employees that she sees are secure in the knowledge that they are receiving the correct information in which to make major decisions that affect their lives."
She was hired in February 2001 as a secretary III in the Business Advising Center, and in September 2002, she became a secretary IV in the Rural Transit Assistance Center and later moved to the engineering technology department. In May 2006 she became an admissions/records specialist I in the Office of the Registrar and was reclassified to an admissions/records representative. She was named a benefits counselor I in February 2008, and one year later, she was named a benefits counselor II. Chambers has been a benefits counselor since March 2011.
"We congratulate Amy for her support and dedication to Western," said Wendi Mattson, Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) public relations representative. "She is a true example of the wonderful employees at WIU."
