February 25, 2011
MACOMB, IL – Dixie Bodenhamer, an office support associate in Western Illinois University management and marketing department, has been named the WIU February Civil Service Employee of the Month.
According to her nominators, "Dixie is punctual, professional, courteous and efficient. She makes everyone feel welcome and 'at home.' Her enthusiasm accentuates office efficiency, decreases wait times, and helps present an overall image that suggests professionalism"
"Dixie is the face of the department to all. She maintains several schedules and ensures that completion requirements are attained by all office personnel. She ensures that classroom materials are prepared to each instructor's specifications, and she stays aware of what is happening in the department offices which makes her an excellent 'go to' person for an update," her nominators added. "Dixie is well-respected within the community and her kindness and service to others is indisputable. She is an excellent example of the kind of town and gown emissary that makes a positive impact on both."
Bodenhamer was hired in February 2002.
"Dixie is to be commended for her commitment to her department and to the University," said Carla Farniok, Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) public relations representative. "It is a pleasure to recognize her efforts and her dedication."
