Employee of the Month
January 30, 2006
MACOMB, IL – The Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at Western Illinois University is pleased to announce that Vickie Tait, a building service worker, was selected as the January Civil Service Employee of the Month.
According to her nominators, “Vickie is a great representative for building service workers and is an asset to the University Union. She is always pleasant and friendly. She always checks in to see how things are, and while we know we aren’t the only department she takes care of, we do feel well-cared for. Our office looks good each and every day.”
Tait’s nominators also cited her diligence and her positive attitude. “What impresses us is that Vickie goes above and beyond in communicating with us on a regular basis on what is going on, the consistent clean appearance of our office space and asking if there’s anything else she can do to keep our appearances top-notch.”
Tait began working at Western in 2001. She is currently assigned to the University Union.
“Vickie it to be commended for going out of her way to help other University employees any way she can and for doing her part in making the University Union shine each day,” said Janet Koll, CSEC public relations officer.
Western faculty, staff and administrators, as well as community members, wishing to nominate a civil service employee for this recognition should call Koll at 309/298-1811 or e-mail JM-Koll@wiu.edu.
