MACOMB, IL – The Civil Service Employees Council (CSEC) at Western Illinois University is pleased to announce that Judy Kling, an admissions records officer II, has been selected as the November Civil Service Employee of the Month.

Kling was nominated due to her work with the new document imaging machine for online records in admissions. “She has made many suggestiongs and recommendations for improvements to the new system,” explained her nominators. Kling was also cited for her friendliness and efficiency when assisting students, parents, co-workers and the general public.

Kling began working at Western in August 1989 as a data entry operator II in admissions. She was promoted to a data entry operator III and then to a records officer I before being promoted to her current position as a records officer II.

“We’d like to congratulate Judy on a job well-done and for making Western Illinois University a better place,” said Janet Koll, CSEC public relations officer.

Western faculty, staff and administrators, as well as community members, wishing to nominate a civil service employee for this recognition should call Koll at 309/298-1811 or e-mail JM-Koll@wiu.edu.
