Ernest Jackson Blends Healthcare and Criminal Justice in Presentation April 17

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University will be hosting Ernest Jackson, the first and only board-certified African-American forensic odontologist in the United States, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17 in the University Union Brattain Lounge.

Jackson was born and raised in East St. Louis, earning a degree in dental medicine in 1988, and has spent decades serving in the U.S. Air Force, FBI and the Department of Justice. He has used his dental expertise to assist these agencies as a consultant and as the Director of Dental Services in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

He brings a powerful blend of science, justice and leadership to his work in forensic identification and public service. His presentation will discuss careers that can merge healthcare, criminal justice and forensic science, as well as show how expertise can serve justice and public safety.

This event is free and open to the public.
