WIU Psychology Department Hosts Successful Thanksgiving Luncheon
December 2, 2024
MACOMB, IL — The Western Illinois University Psychology Department celebrated a successful Thanksgiving luncheon hosted by the Psychology Club, marking the third year of this beloved tradition. The event brought together students, faculty and staff for a festive and inclusive celebration.
The Psychology Club, which organizes the event annually, worked diligently to make this year's luncheon the most successful yet. Reflecting on challenges from the previous year, where food ran out within 30 minutes, the club took extra steps to ensure plenty of food was available for all attendees. Their efforts paid off, with the food lasting until the end of the event, accomplishing one of their key goals.
Faculty and staff in the Psychology Department contributed a variety of dishes to the meal's success. Club advisor Professor Robert Intrieri and his wife, provided two whole turkeys along with additional dishes, setting the tone for the event's warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The Thanksgiving luncheon grows more popular each year and the Psychology Club is committed to continuing this tradition.
