WIU Students Excel at Illinois Fall PAS Conference

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University Agriculture (Ag) students from the Postsecondary Agricultural Student (PAS) organization showcased their talents and expertise at the Illinois Fall PAS Conference on November 14, earning top honors in several categories.
Six WIU PAS members competed in various events, highlighting their diverse skills and dedication to agricultural education and leadership.
Individual Achievements:
Elizabeth Lee: first place in Agricultural Sales Interview
Amanda Niemann: second place in Agricultural Education Systems Planning
Tea Thomas: third place in the Equine competition
Brooke Benhoff: sixth place in Agricultural Education Interview and sixth place in Agricultural Education Career Planning and Application (CPA)
Edward Byrd: ninth place in Agricultural Sales CPA
Team Competitions:
Equine Team: Adam Vail and Tea Thomas
Crops Team: Adam Vail and Amanda Niemann
The students demonstrated excellence in their respective events, which tested industry knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and professional communication skills.
