MACOMB, IL - - If students are looking for some help on an upcoming project, the Western Illinois University Writing Center may be able to help.

The University Writing Center is inviting students to stop by between 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13 for coffee and doughnuts on the third floor of Malpass Library. At the event, students can take part in complimentary coffee and doughnuts and get assistance with their writing.

"Coffee and Doughnuts is a very informal time at the writing center," assistant professor and Writing Center director Ashley Beardsley said. "We help anyone who needs assistance with all things writing. Whether they're starting an essay, working on a resume, grad school application, short story or something else entirely, consultants can help writers at any stage of the writing process."

Beardsley said any student who needs help with an assignment can come to the Writing Center. Bringing the assignment sheet and any other class materials to the writing center is helpful for offering assistance, but is not necessary.
