Community Invited to WIU's First Wednesday Nov. 6

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Department of Art & Design will hold its November "First Wednesday" event from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Garwood Hall, the Heating Plant Annex and the University Art Gallery.
The event is open free to the public with visitors welcome from campus and the surrounding community. Activities for the November edition include:
- Printmaking, with Bill Howard - Garwood 12
- "Bring Your Own Shirt" with Susan Czechowski - Garwood 11
- Decorative Collage with Damon McArthur - Garwood 25
- Holiday Charms with Ta-Teh Ku and Art Education students - Garwood 24
- Wheel Mandalas, with Ian Shelly - Heating Plant Annex 111
- Tree of Life Ornaments, Kat Meyers - Heating Plant Annex 107
- Packing Tape Sculptures, Tim Waldrop - Heating Plant Annex 105
The University Art Gallery will also be open during the event, featuring Duke Oursler's exhibition "Rural Route 1."
Projects are available for all ages and skill levels. Generous support has been provided by The Performing Arts Society.
