WIU Choir Holding Fall Concert Friday

MACOMB, IL - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Fall Choir Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Conductors Brian J. Winnie, Jason Hawkins and Kristie Halverson have selected repertoire with the theme of "Through the Storm," encompassing a variety of pieces that reflect the calm before the storm and the tumult of the mental and physical storms in our lives. Other pieces will reflect on the readiness for future troubles and steadfast care humanity can have for each other as we wade through life's journey together. Collaborative pianists are Dr. Po-Chuan Chiang and Dr. Yeon-Kyung Kim.
This "Homecoming Concert" will also feature WIU choral alumni performing with the University Singers and combined choirs.

This performance is free and open for general seating.
