SGA to Host Fall Can Drive Competition Oct. 1-15

MOLINE, IL - - The Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Student Government Association (SGA) will host a Fall Can Drive from Tuesday, Oct. 1-Tuesday, Oct. 15 in Riverfront Hall's (RFH) reception area.

All cans will benefit the WIU-QC Food Pantry.

How to participate:


  • Drop off donations at the RFH front desk.

  • For every pound donated, one raffle ticket will be awarded.

  • Fill out your ticket.

  • Tickets can be filled out for individual entry or club entry.

  • Check your WIU email on Thursday, Oct. 17, for announcements of winners.

  • Two individuals and one club will be chosen.


    • What is accepted: Any non-expired, shelf-stable food. All canned fruit, soup and vegetables (other than green beans or peas) are accepted.

    The club that wins will receive a $300 club budget, and two individuals who win will receive $50 for the first and $25 for the second.
