WIU Faculty to Present Recital on Sept. 11

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Music will present a Faculty Recital featuring oboist Paul Chinen, clarinetist Eric Ginsberg and pianists Po-Chuan Chiang and Yeon-Kyung Kim at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The program will include:

Three Piece Suite - Madeleine Dring (1923-1977)
I. Showpiece
II. Romance
III. Finale
- Paul Chinen, oboe
- Yeon-Kyung Kim, piano

Chrysalis for English Horn and Piano - Alyssa Morris (1984b)
I. Caterpillar
II. Within the Chrysalis
III. Butterfly
- Paul Chinen, oboe
- Yeon-Kyung Kim, piano

INTERMISSION

Wood Song for Solo Oboe - Jenni Brandon (1977b)

Trio for Oboe, Clarinet and Piano in B Minor, Op. 27 - Édouard Destenay (1850-1924)
I. Allegro vivace
II. Andante non troppo
III. Presto
- Paul Chinen, oboe
- Eric Ginsberg, clarinet
- Po-Chuan Chiang, piano

This performance is open free for general audience seating and will be live-streamed on the School of Music's YouTube channel and Facebook page.
