Ruffner's Art on Display Sept. 3-26

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University alumna Jodi Ruffner will have her solo exhibition "Snapshots of Reverie" on display Tuesday, Sept. 3 - Thursday, Sept. 26, at the ANNEX Gallery. Admission is open free to the public.

Ruffner is a painter and mixed media artist whose work depicts her interest in the subjectivity of our perceptions and our ability to witness the wondrous, magical and even the numinous in every day. Ruffner has had the opportunity to exhibit her work locally, nationally and internationally. She has received several awards and grants including two Windgate Research Awards, the Swedlund Photography Award, the 2023 SIUC Purchase Award, and a residency at The Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Ireland. In addition, her work has been published in the "I Like Your Work" and "Friends of the Artist" catalogs. Jodi received her BFA from Penn State University and her MFA from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. She lives and works in southern Illinois.
