MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University's Horrabin Hall will be temporarily out of service this week due to ongoing issues with the building's air conditioning system. The chiller, which is essential for maintaining a comfortable environment within the building, is currently offline.

Efforts to resolve the issue are underway. The University's Facilities Management team has been in contact with the manufacturer's representative to explore long-term repair options, as well as the possibility of installing a temporary chiller. However, due to the timing of the heatwave expected this week, these solutions will not be in place in time to maintain adequate cooling in the building.

Classes and activities scheduled in Horrabin Hall will be relocated and students, faculty and staff will receive further instructions from their respective departments.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
