WIU Spring '24 Graduation Numbers Announced

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - One thousand one hundred and fifteen students earned academic degrees or post-baccalaureate certificates after the Spring 2024 semester at Western Illinois University. Of these, 153 graduates' graduates participated in the QC Commencement ceremony.

Bachelor's degrees were awarded to 670 graduates, including General Studies graduates.

Academic distinction was awarded to baccalaureate graduates who achieved high-grade point averages. This includes: Summa Cum Laude, 3.90 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale, which was awarded to 61 students; Magna Cum Laude, 3.75–3.89 GPA, which was awarded to 63 students; and Cum Laude, 3.6–3.74 GPA, which was awarded to 60 students.

Four hundred and seven graduates earned master's degrees; six earned their doctorate degrees in educational leadership. 32 individuals earned post-baccalaureate certificates.

Additionally, 55 students were named Department Scholars; six were named College Scholars; and 74 were named Honors Scholars.
