WIU to Host 2024 Calendar Signing Event Dec. 11

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Bookstore will host a Col. Rock IV Calendar Signing for the 2024 edition from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11 in the University Union Bookstore.

Students, faculty and staff can stop by the bookstore before leaving for winter break in support of Col. Rock IV, "Ray," the live mascot. Calendars will be available for $5.50 during the event. Individuals who purchase a calendar during the event will get a special Col. Rock IV "signature."

The 2024 edition was designed and produced by WIU Marketing Associate Justin Derry in collaboration with University Marketing, WIU Photography and Design Production and Col. Rock IV, "Ray," handler Joseph Roselieb.

"We love doing the calendar because we enjoy seeing the reactions people have when they see the creative photos and the love they have for Ray," Roselieb said. "This initiative serves as our annual fundraiser for the WIU Live Mascot program and provides us with funding to assist with a variety of events, programs and activities throughout the year."
