WIU Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority to Host RHOflection Nov. 16
November 14, 2023

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority in collaboration with the University Counseling Center will host "RHOflection" from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 in the University Union Sandburg Lounge.
RHOflection seeks to connect students to mental health services on campus while also combating the stigma of mental health. There will be a presentation on mental health disorders, how mental health affects students and a discussion of the mental health resources offered to students at WIU. After the presentation, students can join a vision board activity.
"It's okay to take a break and prioritize your mental health," Sigma Gamma Rho member Morgan Stich said. "Taking care of your mental health is an act of self-love and self-care. You are worthy of happiness. Mental health problems do not define who you are. There is no shame in seeking out mental health services to help with mental health problems."
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. began in Indianapolis, IN in 1922. Epsilon Beta Chapter was chartered on the WIU campus in 1972. Since its inception, the dynamic women of Sigma Gamma Rho have built and sustained a well-known and well-respected reputation for leading positive change to help uplift the community through sisterhood, leadership and service.
