WIU MCC to Host Welcome Back Bash: “Embrace the Mix” Aug. 19

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Multicultural Center (MCC), in collaboration with the Casa Latina Cultural Center, Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center, LGBT*QA Resource Center and the Women's Center, will host a Welcome Back Bash, "Embrace the Mix," from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 in the MCC on the Macomb campus.

"The MCC looks forward to welcoming students to campus for the fall semester," said WIU MCC Director Katy Gorsuch. "We hope that Embrace the Mix serves as a great opportunity for students, staff and faculty to connect before classes kick-off."

The event will incorporate new and returning students to "Embrace the Mix" by checking out the MCC resources available while enjoying food, games and a live DJ.

The MCC provides resources to enhance the campus community's understanding and appreciation of all identities. The center is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. -7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. starting Monday, Aug. 21.
