Winners Announced For ARTF Campus Climate Survey

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - The winners are in! The Western Illinois University Anti-Racism Task Force (ARTF) conducted a campus climate survey to measure the attitudes, opinions and work environment of campus faculty, staff and students, with the goal of using the data to identify and address issues to improve the University.

Upon completion of the survey, the participants were entered into a random drawing to win a 2023-2024 WIU parking pass.
The winners are as follows:


  • Student: Special Education major Elizabeth Orwig

  • Staff: Building Services Worker (Facilities Management) Zoey McPeak

  • Faculty: Biological Sciences Professor Shawn Meagher


"Congratulations to all of the winners. The ARTF would like to thank everyone who participated in the surveys," said Centennial Honors College Dean and Health Sciences and Social Work Chair Lorette Oden. "Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to share your thoughts on the survey items. Your responses are essential to bringing awareness to the areas of concern for WIU and the Macomb and Quad Cities communities. The Task Force will utilize the data collected to finalize a Diversity Plan for the University. We are looking forward to working with you to achieve this goal."
