WIU to Attend 2023 John Deere Classic Tournament

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - Get ready for an unforgettable week filled with music, golf and WIU swag. Western Illinois University will be in attendance at the John Deere Classic 2023 tournament as a gold sponsor. The event will take place Wednesday-Sunday, July 5-9.

WIU President Guyiou Huang will be at the course Friday, July 7 to welcome alumni and prospective students.

As part of the tournament of events, the John Deere Classic will welcome guests to attend the live performances of Darius Rucker 5:45 p.m. Saturday, July 8 and Blake Shelton at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, July 9, after the tournament. In addition, attendees can catch University of Iowa basketball player Caitlin Clark in action during the Pro-Am on Wednesday, and join the youth day clinic in the afternoon.

You don't want to miss the WIU booth inside the main tent upon admission. The booth will offer attendees an array of activities and merchandise including:


  • Face painting

  • Kids activities

  • Corn hole games

  • Free koozies and other merchandise

  • Pictures with our Rocky Mascot
