MACOMB, IL - - Music lovers, you don't want to miss it! Western Illinois University is proud to host the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps from Dubuque, IA, a nine-time Drum Corps International (DCI) World Class Finalist, for a live free performance at 7 p.m. at Hanson Field on campus Sunday, June 25.

Don't miss this incredible opportunity to watch these World Class Finalists put on an incredible showcase of talent and creativity this summer.

The Colts Drum and Bugle Corps is made up of 160 talented high school and college-aged musicians, along with 40 dedicated staff and support team members. They've been training hard this summer and even spent three weeks in May on campus practicing for the Summer Premiere. Director Vicki MacFarlane worked closely with WIU Marching Leathernecks Director Matt Thomas to make this event happen for the community.

The Colts Drum and Bugle Corps chose to use WIU's facilities because of their strong connection to WIU and Macomb. In the past, a number of Macomb residents and WIU students and alumni have marched with the organization.

Since 1982, the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps has ranked in the top 25 at the DCI World Championships every year and even returned to finalist status in 2022, placing 11th. They'll be embarking on a cross-country tour, competing against 20 other World Class drum and bugle corps, with the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis, IN, August 10-12 as the grand finale.
