Two Interviewing for WIU Executive Director of Quad Cities Outreach and Campus Operations

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – Two candidates will interview for the open position of Western Illinois University executive director of Quad Cities Outreach and Campus Operations.

WIU Center for Career Preparation and Employer Engagement Director Audrey N. Adamson will interview Tuesday, June 13 and Morningside University Sharon Walker School of Education Dean Kelly A. Chaney will interview Thursday, June 15.

Adamson has served as director of WIU's Center for Career Preparation and Employer Engagement since November 2020. Previously, she was the senior assistant director for WIU's Quad Cities Student Services from July 2012-October 2020; the interim director of Residential Life at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, from July 2011-July 2012; a first-year advisor at Augustana from August 2010-July 2012; assistant director of Residential Life at Augustana from June 2010-June 2011; a career advisor at Augustana from October 2005-February 2007; and the area coordinator/residence director at Augustana from August 1997-June 2010.

Adamson received her bachelor's degree in Biology from Augustana College and her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from WIU.

Chaney has served as dean of the Morningside University Sharon Walker School of Education since July 2020. Previously, she served as the associate vice president of Academic Affairs and the dean of Graduate Studies at Marian University in Wisconsin from 2017-19; the dean of the Marian University School of Education from 2016-17; interim provost at Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL, from 2014-15; chair of the Education Department at Blackburn from 2010-16; director of Teacher Education at Blackburn from 2008-10; an instructor and program coordinator at Southern Illinois University's Workforce Education and Development Department from August 2006-July 2008; and the supplemental instruction coordinator for the Division of Student Affairs at SIU-Carbondale from September 2003-May 2006.

Chaney received her bachelor's degree in Business Education from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO; her master's degree in Workforce Education and Development from SIU-Carbondale and her doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Higher Education from SIU Carbondale.
