WIU's SummerStage Beginning Auditions for 'School of Rock'

MACOMB, IL – The College of Fine Arts and Communication has announced its SummerStage production of, "School of Rock."
Auditions will be held Thursday-Friday, April 20-21 in the Horrabin Hall Theatre. An open call will be held from 5-7 p.m., a movement and dance call from 7-7:30 p.m. and callbacks from 7:30-8 p.m. each night. Performers are not required to attend both dates.
To audition, performers should prepare 16 bars of a song from any musical. An accompanist will be provided, as will a short reading.
Performances will be Friday-Saturday, July 14-15, and are sponsored by Citizens Bank in Macomb.
Producers of the show are looking for as many adults as children for the show. Rehearsals begin Monday, June 5. Youth performers should be ages 11 and older.
To register for an audition spot, visit western presents.com/sor. Those seeking to play a part with an instrument can bring their own prepared music. All instruments will be provided for the audition, but those with their own electric guitar or bass are invited to bring it with them.
Tickets for the production will go on sale Friday, June 30.
