BOT to Consider Program Review Recommendations, Strategic Plan

MACOMB/MOLINE IL -- The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees will consider academic program review recommendations at the Friday, June 10 meeting at the WIU-Quad Cities Riverfront campus in Moline.

The WIU Board's open meeting will begin at 8 a.m. Friday in Rooms 103/104. A scheduled closed session, in accordance with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 9 in Room 3420A, Building C on the WIU-QC Riverfront campus.

The Board will consider the elimination of four academic degree programs and the modification of four academic degree programs. For more information on the program elimination report and Board resolution, visit wiu.edu/bot and click on Agendas, Materials and Minutes in the right sidebar.

The Board will consider the University's updated strategic plan (2016-2026), the FY'17 preliminary spending plan, tenure recommendations, the presidential assessment/contract, purchases over $500,000 and the University Professionals of Illinois (UPI) Local 4100 Memorandum of Understanding. The Board will also elect officers for the 2016-2017 year.

The Board will hear reports on contributions, academic program changes and academic curricular and administrative changes and the Higher Learning Commission: Western Illinois University Quality Initiative and an update on long-term planning.
