LaVingon Obituary

MACOMB, IL – A memorial service for Western Illinois University employee Sherry Jeanine King LaVingon will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Marietta, IL home of Donnie and Cindy Swartbaugh, 22860 Highway 95.
LaVingon worked in various capacities at Western over the years, including as a records officer in Admissions and as a clerk for the WIU Counseling Center and for University Housing and Dining. She began working at Western in 1993 in the WIU Office of the Registrar.
She passed away Friday, Oct. 9 at The Elms in Macomb.
