I-20 and Acceptance Letter Emailed

WIU will email you a soft copy of your formal acceptance letter and I-20.

SEVP now allows for the electronic issuance and signing of Forms I-20.  Please print the attached I-20, sign your name on the first page, and take it to your visa appointment. Please note, the I-20 reflects the amount stated on the Affidavit of Support.

If you want the original hard copy documents, your admission packet and I-20 (if applicable) are ready to mail.  Due to recent updates by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, acceptance packets that include a student’s I-20 cannot be picked up by a student representative or mailed to an address other than the student’s home address. This includes packages that are couriered.

If you would like a hard copy of your documents, please see below.

  1. OVERSEAS REGULAR MAIL  Please note: regular overseas mail can take 4-6 weeks, there are no guarantees it will arrive and there is no tracking available when sent this way.

If you prefer this option, email international-ed@wiu.edu with the correct mailing address. Note, we cannot mail your documents to an agency's address. 

  1. EXPRESS COURIER SERVICE through University Express Mail Service (UEMS)

If you wish to receive a hard copy of your acceptance letter and I-20 immediately, you will need to set up EXPRESS COURIER SERVICE through University Express Mail Service (UEMS). We only accept service set up through this company. Please follow the steps below to set up this service:

  • This option provides 3-5 day shipping at your expense. Visit  https://study.eshipglobal.com and select "Student Sign Up." You will need your address (this cannot be an agency) and credit card information to create an account and place your order. Your credit card will be charged when your order is complete.
  • Eshipglobal.com will notify us when your order is complete. If you choose Express Mail, you do not need to respond to this email. Your package will be sent once we get the email from the company.
  • If you need assistance with the courier service set up and placing your order, you must email studentsupport@eshipglobal.com as our office is not affiliated with this service and cannot provide assistance.
