Duties: Members solicit nominations for the Honorary Doctorate to supplement the advertisement distributed to departments and elsewhere. The Committee is responsible for reviewing nominations and providing a list of potential recipients to the President. This awards recognizes individuals who have attained achievements of extraordinary and lasting distinction. Awards are based on an individual's record of scholarship, creativity, leadership, humanitarian service, or public service.
