  • Responsibilities:

    A SPED Para to PEL Program Coordinator typically:

    1. Provide support to students within the Special Education Para to PEL program through mentoring, emotional wellness support, content test preparation, and resource navigation.
    2. Work directly with faculty who serve the Special Education Para to PEL Program to help develop incumbent worker-accessible courses.
    3. Attend meetings related to the Special Education Para to PEL program.
    4. Attend recruitment events and recruit incumbent workers through various community and virtual outlets
  • Required Qualifications:

    CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER:

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education with Illinois PEL or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
    2. Minimum 5 years classroom experience in teaching Special Education (PK-22).
    3. Experience with Google Suite tools and other technology used to create presentations.
  • Starting Salary: $20.726/hour

    This part-time (20%) position is a 9-month appointment.
