The Communication major prepares students for a variety of career opportunities as well as preparing them for future graduate work. The program focuses on the primary areas of organizational communication, persuasive communication, interpersonal communication and rhetorical communication to ground students in both theoretical and applied knowledge, emphasizing the key role that communication plays in all aspects of human interaction.

Public Relations

The Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations provides students with real-world hands-on experience where majors learn to research, plan, execute, and evaluate strategic communication campaigns between organizations and their various audiences as well as learning how to monitor the organization’s environment, assess organizational risks and opportunities, and provide counsel to management on developing policies and programs.
