CURRENT Great River Teacher Corps Participants Must
- Submit an essay on the value of rural and small schools
- Provide a letter of endorsement from a rural or small school superintendent
- Attend three professional development seminars each year on rural and small school education issues
- Complete student teaching in a rural or small school
- Attend the GRTC conference and banquet each spring
- Commit to teach for a minimum of three years in a rural school district in the 22 county region: Adams, Brown, Calhoun, Cass, Fulton, Greene, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Knox, Mason, McDonough, Mercer, Morgan, Peoria, Pike, Rock Island, Schuyler, Scott, Stark, Tazewell, Warren
- *The Great River Teacher Corps will expand to include an urban track as funds become available. Donations are being accepted.
