A Unified Sports Festival, joining people with and without disabilities on the same team according to age and ability, will be held at the Donald S. Spencer Student Recreation Center on WIU's Macomb campus from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on April 12.

Area high school students and peer buddies from Macomb, Canton, Monmouth Roseville and Knoxville, and their teachers and coaches are invited to attend the event. Activities include tag, bags, kickball, dance and soccer.

Students from Western Illinois University Kinesiology Professor Ritchie Gabbei's classes, along with students from other kinesiology classes, education, social work and other programs are organizing teams, run and referee the events, provide music and photography and much more.
