The crime log incidents posted may not match the crime statistics as reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report per the federal Clery Act, as the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code and the crime statistics are required by law to be compiled using the Federal Uniformed Crime Reporting definitions.
According to federal law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, e.g. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition, if any of the following conditions apply. Disclosure is prohibited: by law; would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim; would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or would result in the destruction of evidence.
On Nov. 8 at 8 a.m. non-student Kevin Lakin, 28, of Beardstown, IL, was issued a notice to appear Dec. 4 for a state violation of burglary. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 8:16 a.m. where he was processed and released.
On Nov. 10 at 8:20 p.m. non-student Jonathan Icenogle, 22, of Colchester, IL, was issued a notice to appear Dec. 4 for a state violation of driving under the influence of alcohol in the Knoblauch Hall parking lot. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 9 p.m. where he was processed and released.
On Nov. 10 at 8:43 p.m. one student was judicially referred in and one juvenile was arrested for illegal consumption in Grote Hall. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 11:01 p.m. where he was processed and released.
On Nov. 11 at 12:04 p.m. two students were judicially referred for cannabis in Lincoln Hall.
On Nov. 11 at 11:47 p.m. Trinity Hedden, 22, of Canton, IL, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of Adams Street and Sherman Avenue. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 1:12 a.m. on Nov. 12 where she was processed.
