The crime log incidents posted may not match the crime statistics as reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report per the federal Clery Act, as the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code and the crime statistics are required by law to be compiled using the Federal Uniformed Crime Reporting definitions.

According to federal law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, e.g. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition, if any of the following conditions apply. Disclosure is prohibited: by law; would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim; would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or would result in the destruction of evidence.


On Sept. 13 at 10:45 a.m. one student was judicially referred for behavior on Hanson Field.

On Sept. 13 at 7:50 p.m. non-student Levi Grace, 19, of Mount Sterling, was arrested in the 800 block of South Lafayette Street for aggravated battery of a police officer. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 7:56 p.m. where he was lodged.

On Sept. 14 at 5:10 a.m. Leclaire Wallace, 20, of Chicago, was arrested in Thompson Hall on an active warrant, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, and aggravated and unlawful use of a firearm. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 5:24 a.m. where he was lodged.

On Sept. 14 at 3:47 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the Thompson Hall dining center. No smoke or fire were found and no injuries were reported.

On Sept. 15 at 1:22 a.m. Elijha McDonald, 19, of Chicago, was arrested in the 300 block of North Clay Street for domestic battery and assault. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 1:29 a.m. where he was lodged.

On Sept. 15 at 9:49 a.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Corbin Hall. No smoke or fire were found and no injuries were reported.
