Nancy C. Pechloff, Fall 2010
Nancy C. Pechloff, St. Louis-based managing director of Protiviti, an independent risk consulting business, has been named the College of Business and Technology’s Fall 2010 Executive in Residence. A former audit partner with Arthur Andersen LLP, Pechloff has worked for 35 years in financial statement audits, process reengineering projects, and outsourcing engagements for companies across a variety of industries. Her primary area of expertise is financial reporting and internal controls. During her years with Arthur Andersen, she served in a number of global leadership positions. Her duties included managing the Enterprise Group market segment ($500 million in revenues) that specialized in serving entrepreneurial middle market companies and initial public offerings (IPOs) in Europe, Asia, and Australia. She has gained significant public and private company client experience with companies such as Argosy Gaming Company, Rawlings Sporting Goods, Merck & Co. Inc., and May Department Stores.
A 1973 WIU alumna with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Pechloff was named the CBT Distinguished Alumna in 1987. She took an active role in the University’s Centennial Campaign Committee and received the Western Illinois University Distinguished Alumni Award in 1999. She has served as president of the Missouri State Board of Accountancy and on a number of not-for-profit boards, including The Psychoanalytic Institute of St. Louis (current board chair), The Shakespeare Festival St. Louis and Missouri Women’s Forum. She has also received the Small Business Association (SBA) Accountant Advocate Award in Illinois and Missouri, and the YWCA Tribute to Women in International Industry Award.
