Tamara Harris
Tamara Harris, a well established expert on instructional technology, has experience spanning more than fifteen years. She began her career in IT at the Principal Financial Group in Des Moines, Iowa, where she held a variety of positions including instructional designer, project manager, and network support manager. She then spent five years with Accenture of Stone Mountain, Georgia, as a human performance consultant working on business process re-engineering initiatives with major telecommunications companies. In 2002, her career and expertise took on an entrepreneurial spin when she launched Selene’s Sensations, LC, a baking and catering company.
She is currently an instructional technologist with IBM Learning Development and is focused on balancing her IBM responsibilities with entrepreneurship as Selene’s Sensations expands into the wholesale bakery domain to supply low-sugar desserts and breads to high-end bakeries and restaurants in the Atlanta area. Ms. Harris graduated magna cum laude from Western Illinois University with a bachelor of business degree in Information Management with a minor in Human Resource Management. She holds a Master of Science in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University–Bloomington.
