Spoon River College

Spoon River College and Western Illinois University have teamed up to offer a unique college experience to our students. You may attend Spoon River College, our local community college, and stay in a residence hall on the WIU campus. Spoon River College is a fine community college interested in helping students gain a firm academic foundation. Western Illinois University can offer out-of-classroom living/learning space to complement the SRC education.

SRC students who live in a WIU residence hall are eligible to purchase a semester membership. Note: Residence must be verified prior to purchasing a membership. Memberships for Residential SRC students are $175, cash or check only. Summer memberships are not available to Spoon River College students.

The above charges are basic and for one semester only and do not cover any incidentals the student may incur. Different room types and additional meal points will result in a higher cost. One-fourth of total charges ( prepayment ) are due with a $50 non-refundable contract processing fee (for new contracts) when application is submitted. Additional payments of that same amount will be due 8/28/24, 9/28/24 and 10/28/24 for Fall 2024 and 1/28/15, 2/28/25 and 3/28/25 for Spring 2025. Any remaining balance must be paid by 11/28/24 for Fall 2024 and 04/28/25 for Spring 2025. A new contract addendum and pre-pay is required each semester. A finance charge will be assessed to the student’s account on the unpaid balance after the established billing dates.

If a student wishes to avoid finance charges, the student may pay the entire balance of the student account before 8/28/24 for Fall 2024 and 1/28/15 for Spring 2025.
