Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant
The Illinois National Guard Grant (ING) is a state entitlement program for qualified Illinois National Guard members (visit CollegeIllinois! to view a complete list of eligibility requirements).
ING benefits pay eligible tuition charges and the University activity fee; recipients are responsible for any remaining fees associated with enrollment. ING benefits are limited to use only at Illinois public colleges or community colleges. Qualified applicants may use this grant at the undergraduate or graduate level for the equivalent of four academic years of full-time enrollment.
PLEASE NOTE: Requests to change, update, or cancel awards must be made prior to the term billing deadline (generally 2-4 weeks after the appropriate application deadline listed below).
The Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant Application must be received by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) on or before the deadline date, and an application must be submitted for each academic year in which benefits are to be used. If you are a qualified applicant, ISAC will send you an eligibility letter, which you should provide to your college's financial aid office as soon as you receive it. (ISAC's processing time is approximately 4-6 weeks.)
Submit your complete application to ISAC on or before the deadline date, based on the first term for which you wish to receive funds each academic year.
