Title VI Project

The project Communities As Agents of Change: Language and Area Studies for a Sustainable Future was selected by the US Department of Education in September of 2016. This project was part of the Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language Program corresponding to the Title VI Initiative.

The approved proposal seeks to:

1. Expand and enhance study abroad opportunities in Latin America.

2. Expand opportunities for language training in international, community and campus settings.

3. Enhance and develop partnerships with local organizations and academic institutions.

4. Creating and fostering faculty development opportunities to support enhanced area and regional studies in the classroom.

 



Opening Classroom to the World

Initiatives in Puerto Rico and Ecuador are strengthening the role of international perspective across campus.
