2011 Homecoming Highlights
25th Annual Old Stompin' Ground Runaround
WIU alumni and friends joined in the 25th annual Old Stompin’ Ground Runaround 5K run/walk held on Homecoming morning with 146 participants. 
Mark Wachendorf ‘88 was the overall male winner with a time of 17:37 and the female overall winner was Rhonda Haffner '87 with a time of 21:59.
The 15 and under age group female winners were Isabel Wohlstadter, first place; Tiffany Slater, second place and Brianna Drew, third place. Male winners in this category were Joshua Cook, first place; Abe Pedigo, second place and Noah Pyles, third place.
The 16 through 22 age group female winners were Stacy VanLoan, first place; Brittany Edwards, second place and Natalie Dybsky, third place. Male winners in this category were R. R. Rishi, first place; Jesse Shaw, second place and Davey Mueller, third place.
The 23 through 29 age group female winners were Jill Kellum ‘09, first place; Victoria Lantz ‘10, second place and Stacie Petitgout ‘05, third place. Male winners in this category were Torinn Pope ’09 MS ‘11, first place; Jacob Baylor ‘08, second place and James Boge ‘04, third place.
The 30 through 39 age group female winners were Carol Heflin, first place; Jenel Starbuck, second place and Connie Crowl, third place. Male winners in this category were Wesley Wooden ‘04, first place; Barclay Key, second place and Roberto Mazzo, third place.
The 40 through 49 age group female winners were Pam Hoon ‘86, first place; Laurie Slater, second place and Dena Furniss, third place. Male winners in this category were Ken Dahlstrom, first place; William Peterman ‘84, second place and Doug Harvey ’91, third place.
The 50 through 59 age group female winners were Cindy Cavett, first place; Mona D’Antonio ‘76, second place and Karen Hostert, third place. The male winners in this category were Jeff DeJoode, first place, Bill McLaughlin ‘82, second place and Leroy Tappe ’77, third place.
The 60 and over age group female winners were Claudia Scott ‘78, first place, Brenda Martin ‘73, second place and Betsy Hommel ’72, third place. Male winners in this category were Lawson Barclay, first place; Ed Zaborac ’71, second place and Deckle McLean, third place.
In the walker category the winners were Edward Ortciger, first place; Carol Clemons ’85, second place and Cheryl Ravenschlag ’61 MS ’64, third place.
