Advice for Freshmen: The bestselling author H. Jackson Brown, Jr. has provided this quote which I find a very good motivator:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

Favorite WIU Memory: Participating on the WIU Intercollegiate Livestock Judging Team.  This afforded me many opportunities and provided the springboard for my future career.

Family/Hobbies: I have been married to Melissa since 1989 and we have one daughter, McKenzie,  who was born in 1992.  Melissa and I reside in Round Hill, Virginia. I enjoy golfing and our family treks to the ocean as often as we can to enjoy the beach.
