October 2-18: WIU Department of Art presents Joe Morzuch Exhibition in the WIU Annex Gallery. Reception will be held October 2 at 4:30pm in the WIU Annex Gallery. Admission is free and open to the public.

October 4: WIU Department of Art presents First Wednesday from 7-9pm in Garwood Hall and the Heating Plant Annex. This community art night offers free, hands-on opportunities to participants of all ages to create art.

October 23-November 8: WIU Department of Art presents Adrienne Callander Exhibition in the WIU Annex Gallery. Reception will be held October 23 at 4:30pm in the Annex Gallery. Admission is free and open to the public.

October 9-November 17: Western Illinois University Art Gallery presents the Biennale Faculty Exhibition. Reception will be held October 12 from 4:30-6:00pm. Admission is free and open to the public.

October 2-November 2: Western Illinois University Art Gallery presents an exhibition by Anna Campbell. Reception will be held November 2 from 4:30-6:00pm.

October 4: WIU School of Music presents the LaMoine Brass Quintet & Julstrom String Quartet at 7:30pm in the COFAC Recital Hall. Admission is Free and open to the public.
 
October 6-8: WIU School of Music presents WIU Beethoven Festival - Three performance event: Guest/Faculty Recital featuring Katie Wolfe, violin and Liang-yu Wang, piano, performing Beethoven’s Complete Sonatas for Violin and Piano at 7:30pm on Friday, October 6 and Sunday, October 8. Saturday, October 7 performance will be at 3:00pm.

October 21: WIU School of Music presents the WIU Marching Band Classic on Hanson Field. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and children ages 5-12.

October 27: WIU School of Music presents the 19th Annual Halloween Children’s Concert at 6:30pm in the COFAC Recital Hall. This concert will feature the music from the movie E.T. and children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes for a costume parade and prizes. This event is free and open to the public and child-friendly. Sponsored by Citizens Bank, division of Morton Community Bank.
