Roselieb Named Vice President for Finance and Administration at WIU

MACOMB, IL - - Ketra Roselieb, executive director of financial affairs, has been named Western Illinois University's new vice president for finance and administration, effective Oct. 1.

Roselieb has served as the executive director of financial affairs since 2020. In that role, she provides leadership and direction for the WIU financial departments (accounting, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing, insurance, accounts receivables and bursar operations); provides long-range planning and aids in oversight of the University's budget; works collaboratively with administration, faculty, staff and students to improve campus financial related operations; improves efficiencies of financial operations across campus and works closely with the University's financial advisor and bond counsel to assist in the refunding and issuance opportunities.

"Ketra's vast knowledge of WIU finances, understanding of the state of Illinois funding and strategic approach to financial analysis and planning have already positioned WIU for a more stable and sustainable future," WIU Interim President Kristi Mindrup said. "Ketra values transparency and collaboration across the institution, and her career demonstrates genuine care and dedication to WIU and the community."

During her tenure at WIU, Roselieb has served as director of finance for auxiliary services from 2018-19; assistant director for budget for University Housing and Dining from 2012-18. She also assisted with special projects for WIU, stepping into the role of Go West Transit director from 2015-18 and assisting the Budget Office from 2016-17. Additionally, she served as the operations coordinator for Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation from 2011-12.

Over the years, Roselieb has been involved in the Macomb community, which currently includes serving as the board chair of the McDonough County CEO Program, vice president of the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce Board, board member of the McDonough District Hospital Foundation, and previously serving on several other city of Macomb committees and organizations.

At WIU, Roselieb is an institution designee for the Illinois Commission on Equitable Funding Technical Workgroup and the Resource Workgroup; a member of the University Financial Sustainability Committee, University Policy Review Committee, University Strategic Plan Committee, Title IX Hearing Board, Leatherneck Club and Debt Compliance Committee. She has also served on several committees and taught University 100 classes and a graduate-level course on higher education budgeting.

Roselieb received her MBA (2011) and her Bachelor of Business in Finance (2009) from Western Illinois University.

The Vice President for Finance and Administration oversees, coordinates and integrates institution-wide financial, human, and facilities infrastructure, and ensures effective stewardship of the University's physical and financial resources. The VPFA is expected to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the key issues affecting units within this expansive portfolio and shape and implement appropriate strategies, structures, and staffing. The VPFA works with the diverse needs and concerns of the many members who comprise the Western Illinois University community and keeps the University community informed of the various priorities and activities.
