"A Day in the Media Life" Offers Virtual WIU Broadcasting Visit

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University Department of Broadcasting and Journalism will offer "A Day in the Media Life," an opportunity for a virtual program visit, from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, March 18.

Those who take part in the event will be awarded a $1,000 Leatherneck Visitor Scholarship to attend WIU.

The schedule includes:

• 3-3:20 p.m. – Introduction and guest speakers Toria Wilson (WQAD) and Dylan Austin (WGEM).

• 3:30-3:50 p.m. – Sports broadcasting tour

• 4-4:10 p.m. – NEWS3 student-run newscast

• 4:10-4:30 p.m. – Campus tour with students

• 4:40-5 p.m. – Admissions Q&A with faculty panel
