Congratulations December Graduates!

The Western Illinois University Alumni Association welcomes you! As a member of the graduating class of 2012, we are glad to have you join our other 115,000 alumni around the world! You made it! WIU students become MEMBERS of the Alumni Association the day they graduate -- that's TODAY! There are no fees or dues, and you are entitled to a number of benefits provided by the Alumni Association:

ALUMNI EVENTS

We hope you will stay connected with Western after you leave campus. Wherever you are headed after graduation, you will be glad to know the WIU Alumni Association hosts a number of alumni events and socials around the world. Stay up-to-date on alumni gatherings by visiting our online Calendar of Events. You will find information about each event, the menu, the cost and much more. Feel free to bring a friend to any of them. Our events are not fundraisers - just a chance to network with other alumni near you.

CAREER SERVICES

Are you still looking to take your first step into the business world? If so, you still have access to WIU’s Career Services Office. Learn about job searching, interviewing, Virtual Career Fairs and much more. As one of our newest members of the WIU Alumni Association, we hope you will take a few minutes to complete a survey in order to help us better serve all of our Alumni and to update your files; you will receive a free gift for doing so! This information will be used by the Alumni Association and the Office of Career Services to monitor the success of WIU graduates. Statistics gathered from these Alumni surveys will be shared with other departments on campus, prospective and current students and other Alumni.

RockeNetwork

Your Alumni Association membership also entitles you to access RockeNetwork - a private, online community that allows you to securely connect with friends and friends-of-friends. Use your extended connections to help you find jobs and fellow Alumni in your area, and even assist you in relocation. There is even a Facebook application where you can link your two accounts. Login to RockeNetwork and click on the Join Button today. There, you will be able to:

• Reconnect with the WIU campus
• View jobs via the Careers tab posted by fellow alumni and companies around the world
• Sublet your extra room by messaging your extended network
• Hear about events happening in your area hosted by the Alumni Association
• Start groups to stay in touch with your on-campus clubs/activities
• Share pictures and blogs in a secure environment
• Add the RockeNetwork application to your Facebook profile
