Abdou Niang to Join Leatherneck Basketball Team
Western Illinois' Head Basketball coach Jim Molinari announced the signing of
Abdou Niang to join the Leathernecks roster for the 2009-2010 roster. Niang hopes to be a great asset to the team. The new Leatherneck stands at 6' 9", weighing in at 195 pounds.
Niang, who attented Stoneridge Prep in California, is originally from Dakar, Senegal, which is located on the Cape Verde Peninsula, on the western edge of Africa.
Coach Molinari says he has a great attitude and shows up with the desire to help the team in any way possible and become the best player he can be.
Fans wil be able to check out The Leathernecks Basketball season later this winter.
