Silkscreen fall leaves and flock them with Professor Susan Czechowski. Come create packing tape sculptures with Professors Tim Waldrop and Duke Oursler. Participate in fashioning your own “Tree of Life” ornaments with Professor Kat Myers. Get dirty in wheel throwing with Professor Ian Shelly. Professor Bruce Walters will be leading a workshop dedicated to Photoshop. Dr. Ta-Teh Ku and the Art Education students will be designing gratitude rocks.
The University Art Gallery will be open with Samantha Haring’s Persistent Spaces on display. The event is free, open to all ages, and welcomes visitors from campus and the surrounding community/region. With a great deal of collaboration and much resourcefulness, First Wednesday has relied on numerous donations of materials from businesses like Blick Art Materials in Galesburg, Illinois, and through monetary support from the Performing Arts Society.
