Description: All are welcome to join the men of Alpha Phi Alpha and the City of Macomb in honoring Macomb native and Civil Rights Activist Rev. Dr. C. T. Vivian as we induct the site of Vivian's childhood home as a Historic Home designation in a dedication ceremony at 702 E. Adams at noon Saturday, November 3.

A reception will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Macomb City Hall Community Room.

In 1930, Cordy Tindell (C.T.) Vivian moved with his family from Booneville, MO to Macomb. He attended Lincoln Elementary School, Edison Middle School, and Macomb High School where he graduated in 1942. He attended Western Illinois University where he was a student athlete and sports editor of the
student newspaper before graduating from the institution.
