- Description: The Performing Arts Society Gala and Silent Auction 2012 presents Masquerade on Saturday, November 10 at the Western Illinois University Union First Floor from 5:00- 11:00 PM. MidAmerica National Bank is the official sponsor of the PAS Gala 2012.
The evening begins at 5:00 PM with valet parking on both sides of Murray Street. Enter the Union at the new Murray Street entrance and walk into the ball!
A social hour from 5:00 to 6:00 PM will include hors d’oeuvres to please any palate in the Prairie Lounge. Most importantly, the social hour gives Gala guests the opportunity to view and bid on the spectacular Gala Silent Auction items. This year’s auction items include trips, tickets to sporting and cultural events, golf opportunities, local services, jewelry, art, and so much more. The most current list of auction items will soon be available at wiu.edu/pas.
The Performing Arts Society (PAS) encourages all Gala guests to bid often and generously on the Silent Auction items, as the Silent Auction is the true fundraising of the Gala.
The PAS fundraising supports the Youth Performing Arts Series, which brings thousands of area youth to the WIU campus to experience live arts performances. PAS funds cover transportation costs as well as attendance at the YPAS shows, which makes everything free of charge to the students and the schools. PAS also funds scholarships for students to attend Summer Music Institute; it supports the BCA; and it supports the Academic Support Program grants, which bring arts opportunities to the campus and community.
Individual tickets are $70 per seat. Corporate tables are available at $90 and $100 a seat. Call 309.298.1618 for reservations or more information.
The $70 ticket covers the price of the event--dinner and dancing--there are no funds raised on the $70 ticket price. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to donate to the Performing Arts Society, in support of our children and the arts community, by bidding at the silent auction, making a cash donation or by becoming a PAS Member.
